September’s Japanese Tea Experience was held at Shuhari, a renovated kyomachiya in Kyoto. Eleven participants and two babies joined us.

We were delighted to hold the fourth “Soot Bamboo Chashaku Carving Workshop in Kochi” with Mr. Izumi Moriwaki.

On Friday, August 22nd, two of our members presented a Japanese tea ceremony demonstration for two groups of approximately 20 students each, accompanied by two teachers, from Years 7, 8, and 9 at Hammond Park Secondary College.

On Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at the request of Ms. Keiko Gray, a Japanese language teacher at St. Norbert College, we demonstrated the tea ceremony for a total of 24 people, consisting of twenty-two ninth- and twelfth-grade students and two international students from Japan.

We invited exchange students from Taiwan, their host families, and members of the Kochi Lions Club to a traditional tea gathering.

On June 14 and 15, we held a cultural event titled “Incense, Flowers, Tea, and Fans: Chanoyu and Traditional Games”. Each day featured two different programs - incense and flower arrangement in the morning, and tea-guessing and fan-tossing games in the afternoon.

Kissako Cha Know You once again supported a tea gathering organized by a corporate tea ceremony club, following last year’s event. We assisted with venue arrangements, preparation of utensils, record of utensils (kaiki), explanatory materials, and day-of operations.

We successfully held an event titled "The Ultimate Outdoor Tea Ceremony."

Every month, after the exercise session, we serve matcha tea.
On March 25, seven people participated.

On March 15, 2025, the 11th Perth Japan Festival was held under blue skies in Perth, Western Australia.

The "Knot" lectures held in February and October 2024 were so well received that there was a request to hold one in Perth as well.
With the help of Ms. Takako Aiba (Instructor), a member of NPO Kissako Cha Know You held a lecture in Perth on March 12, 2025.

The leaders of R/GA, a global company headquartered in New York City with operations in ten countries, gathered in Tokyo in February for a three-day conference.

As we participated in the Perth Japan Festival again this year, this time, we decided to have Kanto Daiichi High School students, who are going on a short-term study abroad program in Perth, assist us. To prepare for that, we visited the school on February 7 during the pre-study period.

In Chanoyu, we don’t just drink matcha; we also enjoy some food.

In January, five participants joined the “Japanese Tea Experience in Oimachi.” It was a great pleasure to welcome back those who had previously attended, and we were delighted to see a participant from last October’s “Kumihimo and Knot Amulet” seminar and workshop join us with her husband.
