Tea Ceremony Experience (Ohta, Tokyo)

We welcomed a couple visiting Japan from Australia.
The husband has been practicing kyudo (Japanese archery) for about 15 years, along with jodo (stick fighting) and iaido (sword drawing). The wife practices kyudo, sado (tea ceremony), kado (flower arrangement), Japanese dance, and sanshin (Okinawan string instrument), and has recently started bon odori (bon dance) and taishogoto (Japanese harp). They are a couple who love Japan, and this time they visited for a kyudo promotion exam.
It was raining, so they experienced using a roji-gasa (tea garden umbrella).
From the seating entry to the charcoal fire, they prepared their own light tea.
We chose a scroll with Daruma, inspired by the husband.
The sweets were handmade by another person who joined the gathering.
It seems they were able to spend a moment away from the hustle and bustle before their rigorous kyudo training and promotion exam.
