NPO Kissako Cha Know You
Post-Concert Tea Service (Matsuida Mori-no-Ie)
After the Double M concert, we treated our guests to some sweets and matcha green tea. The offerings included "Kantsubaki" from Saika, a confectionery studio run by a friend of the staff member from Aika-cho in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, along with "Miso Manju" for the children. Both the sweets and the tea were very well-received.
Double M is comprised of Hideki Matsumoto, a graduate of the Gunma Prefectural School for the Blind, and Miyu Iguchi, a talented vocalist. Matsumoto combines his work in Braille translation with his musical performances, whereas Iguchi gained recognition as a grand champion on NHK's "Nodo Jiman" during her first year of high school. Their performance, featuring lively music and engaging dialogue that effortlessly brought smiles, was outstanding. The audience was particularly captivated when their original song "The House in the Forest" played, creating a harmonious atmosphere in the hall.
The event took place at Matsuida Mori-no-Ie, a barrier-free pension located in Matsuida, Annaka City, Tochigi Prefecture. Supported by numerous donations and volunteers, it regularly hosts various events and is a popular accommodation choice, known for offering the option to rent the entire facility.
