[Morning Session: Incense Game & Flower Arrangement]

Time: 10:30 AM – 12:45 PM (Check-in from 10:15 AM)

Participation Fee: 5,000 yen


[Afternoon Session: Tea Guessing Game & Fan Tossing Game]

Time: 2:00 PM – 4:15 PM (Check-in from 1:45 PM)

Participation Fee: 5,000 yen


[Optional Lunch]

Time: 1:00 PM – 1:55 PM (served in a dining room)

Lunch Fee: 2,000 yen per person

1,500 yen if attending both morning and afternoon sessions

[Event Vocabulary]

Kumiko (Incense Game)

Participants smell several types of fragrant wood, each named after classical poetry or themes, and try to identify them by scent.


Mawaribana (Rotating Flower Arrangement)

Guests take turns arranging seasonal flowers in a shared vase, creating a collective expression of beauty and presence.


Cha-Kabuki (Tea Guessing Game)

Participants first sample two known types of thick matcha (koicha). Then, after tasting three cups—including one mystery tea—they guess which is which.


Tosenkyo (Fan Tossing Game)

Players throw a folding fan at a paper target. Points are awarded based on how the fan lands, often using references from The Tale of Genji or Hyakunin Isshu (100 poems by 100 poets).


[How to Participate]

Please select your preferred session(s) from the list below.

Registration closes on Saturday, June 7, or when sessions are fully booked.

(1) Morning session only – 5,000 yen

(2) Morning session + lunch – 7,000 yen

(3) Afternoon session only – 5,000 yen

(4) Afternoon session + lunch – 7,000 yen

(5) Full day + lunch – 11,500 yen


[Session Options – Sunday, June 15]

(6) Morning session only – 5,000 yen

(7) Morning session + lunch – 7,000 yen

(8) Afternoon session only – 5,000 yen

(9) Afternoon session + lunch – 7,000 yen

(10) Full day + lunch – 11,500 yen


[Payment]

Please pay in cash on the day of the event.


[Cancellation Policy]

If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as early as possible. You are welcome to send someone in your place.

Cancellations made on or after Friday, June 12 will incur the full participation fee. Thank you for your understanding, as seating is limited.


[What to Bring]

Please bring a pair of socks.


[What to Wear]

Japanese or Western-style clothing is welcome.

Please wear something comfortable for sitting on tatami mats.

You are welcome to sit cross-legged, and if kneeling is difficult, let us know in advance.

If you own a small seiza (kneeling) stool, feel free to bring it.

We kindly ask participants to remove watches and accessories before joining the activity.
